Caroline Night is an average sized 14 year old girl with amber eyes and long, curly brown hair. She lives in Canada and works at a café after she is done with school which isn't far from where she works. She loves to write people back and plans to meet some of her penpals. She lives with her mother who is often at work which is two hours away so it is rare that she sees her. Her father died a year ago and she is still upset about it. In her letters she often talks about her best friend Cassie.
Buddy is a 3 year old yellow lab cross bull mastiff. He is always by Caroline's side and is very protective of her.
Shade is a 6 month year old american tabby that is mainly white with some patches of brown tabby markings and a white smudge on his forhead. He is boisterious, energetic, and nosey.
